About Scotty Lusk, LMHC

Scotty Lusk is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor who joined the staff at Ocala Psychiatric Associates in 1996. He completed his BS in Counseling Psychology at Toccoa Falls College in Georgia. He later attended and received his MA in Counseling Psychology at Liberty University in Virginia.

Scotty has over 25 years of experience working with adolescents, couples, individuals, and families on a wide variety of issues. He has worked in many different clinical settings which consist of 7 years in long-term residential program working with adolescents and 5 years of inpatient experience where he served as Adolescent Coordinator for Rapha Inpatient Treatment Center at West Paces Ferry Medical Center in Atlanta and Ocala, FL.

His clinical experience and skills include working with addictions, compulsive behaviors, eating disorders, mood disorders, anxiety disorders, Post Traumatic Stress Disorder, and marital therapy.

His work with couples involves improving communication skills, increasing intimacy, and working out infidelity issues. He is also certified in treating individuals with trauma utilizing Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing therapy (EMDR).

Courtney Boggs is a Registered Mental Health Counselor Intern based in Florida. Her clinical expertise revolves around working with adults dealing with Post Traumatic Stress Disorder, survivors of sexual abuse, neurodivergent individuals, and members of the LGBTQIA+ community. Courtney employs an eclectic, attachment-based, and focused trauma treatment approach, customizing her therapeutic strategy to suit the unique goals and needs of each client.

With a solid educational background in trauma-focused counseling, she is proficient in multiple therapeutic methodologies, including Narrative Exposure Therapy, Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), and Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT).
